Rachele Lamosao is Filipino American born in Honolulu and raised in Waipahu. She is the youngest of two daughters. Her parents immigrated from the Philippines in the early 80’s. They worked multiple jobs to provide for their family. Growing up she was quick to learn the meaning of hard work and perseverance from her parents.

THE BEGINNING

Rachele is a proud Marauder, attending school in the community since kindergarten. She attended August Ahrens Elementary, Waipahu Intermediate, and Waipahu High School.

Rachele continued her education at Leeward Community College completing her Associates Degree in Liberal Arts. She then attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa completing her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and her Masters in Public Administration.

HIGHER EDUCATION

While completing her college education, Rachele raised her son, as a single parent.

FAMILY

Rachele has been in public service for many years. She worked as a session staffer at the legislature. Then Hawaii Farm Bureau as Government Relations Manager and Communications Director. She also served as an Office Manager in the legislature.

PUBLIC SERVICE

Rachele also served her community as a member of the Waipahu Neighborhood Board. She volunteered with Waipahu High School as an Academy Board Member or Natural Resources and the Taste of Waipahu planning committee.

This year alone, we've secured funding for:

- Funding for a new building at August Ahrens Elementary School.
- Funding for a new parking lot at Waipahu Elementary School.
- Multimodal transportation improvements along Waipio Access Road.
- Securing more than $10 million in additional Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) and Grants-in-Aid (GIA) for our community.

Past accomplishments while serving in the House include:

- Partner with the City to advance vehicle and pedestrian safety improvements along Paiwa Street.
- Secure funding for language access and workforce development programs.
- Help establish the first Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter at Waipahu Intermediate School.
